Tackle emails with AI

AI tools changing the game this week

Welcome back! As if Elon Musk suing OpenAI wasn’t juicy enough already, things got extra interesting yesterday when the company responded to the lawsuit. OpenAI revealed email screenshots from 2018, in which Musk stated that “OpenAI’s chance of success was 0%” and it would never compete with Google. That certainly didn’t age well… 🙃

SkimAI streamlines your Gmail workflow

How it works: SkimAI connects to your Gmail account to scan your unread emails, summarize them, and highlight the ones that need urgent attention. Once it identifies important emails, SkimAI automatically drafts responses mimicking your personal writing style. You can then review and edit those drafts, or send them out as-is.

Organization: SkimAI helps you organize your inbox by setting up email labels (like personal, work, or newsletters). To create a label, just name it and describe its rules—SkimAI will categorize every incoming email accordingly. (Pricing: paid—offers free trial)

iListen turns dense content into concise podcasts

iListen lets you absorb the most important information from articles and web pages while you’re on the go.

How it works: Just enter the link to the article or webpage you want to turn into an audio podcast. Then choose your podcast preferences (like audio length, narrator voice, and playback speed). Finally, hit the “Generate” button and iListen will create a personalized podcast that summarizes the most important insights from your chosen content.

Bonus: iListen also offers a Chrome extension that automatically summarizes web pages as you browse, so you can turn them into podcasts later. (Pricing: paid—offers free trial)

Palazzo is your AI-powered interior designer

Co-founded by Venus Williams, Palazzo helps you visualize and redesign your living spaces.

How it works: You’ll start by taking a quiz that helps Palazzo determine your personal interior design preferences. Next, upload a photo of the room you want to redesign and chat with Palazzo’s chatbot assistant, Vinci, to describe your vision for the room. Vinci will generate a realistic design makeover of the picture you provided. You can edit the generated designs by prompting Vinci to either change entire rooms or specific elements, like furniture, wall colors, or decorations. (Pricing: paid—offers free trial)

PDF.MD lets you chat with PDFs

You shouldn’t have to spend hours sifting through financial reports, legal documents, or scientific papers to find that one piece of information you need. This tool gives you quick answers.

How it works: To start, simply upload a PDF file to PDF.MD. After a few minutes of processing, the document is available for you to chat with (just like you would with a chatbot like ChatGPT). PDF.MD is great for searching for specific information in lengthy documents, summarizing them, and extracting data from figures and tables. (Pricing: freemium)

ChatFlow builds chatbots for your website

How it works: ChatFlow is a no-code platform that lets you set up an OpenAI-powered chatbot for your website. Training your chatbot is simple: Upload text-based files (e.g. PDFs or Word documents) or your website’s URL to ChatFlow to create a knowledge base. ChatFlow uses that content to learn the ins and outs of your business. To integrate the trained chatbot into your website, just copy-paste the embed code.

Bonus: You can also train your chatbot with custom questions and answers. Plus, everything from the chatbot’s tone of voice to its visual design elements (like colors) is customizable. (Pricing: paid—offers free trial)

And that’s a wrap! If you take the time to read through the Musk x OpenAI email saga, let me know what you think. 🙂 See you on Friday for this week’s biggest AI news!
