Make AI music from a text prompt

The AI tools changing the game this week

Welcome back! Earlier this week, I asked ChatGPT to think of a new holiday tradition to try. Its response? A “communal activity called ‘Code Caroling,’ where participants share and enjoy festive computer code snippets that generate holiday-themed visuals or tunes.” I don’t know about you, but “festive computer code snippets” is the most bizarre combination of words I’ve ever read.

Today, I’ve got 5 new AI tools that I think you’ll love. Let’s dive in.

Music FX creates new tunes from just a few words

Google MusicFX

As the latest music-related experiment out of Google’s AI Test Kitchen, Music FX is a new text-to-audio music generator that’s already getting excellent reviews.

How it works: After signing into Music FX with your Google account, you’ll be greeted by a simple user interface with a text box on the left and a list of tracks on the right. Simply describe the tune you want in the text box and Music FX will generate a new instrumental track within seconds. You can then change the track’s duration (options are 30, 50, or 70 seconds) and set it to loop.

Something to note: Music FX has a ban on generating tracks that sound like existing artists (i.e. prompting it to “create a song in the style of Snoop Dogg” won’t work). The tool also digitally watermarks every song it generates with SynthID, Google DeepMind’s novel watermarking technology that tracks AI-generated music. (Pricing: freemium)

Voxio turns spoken ideas into clean Notion pages

How it works: Voxio uses voice-recognition technology to transform audio recordings into organized Notion pages. All you have to do is choose the Notion page format (you can choose from text blocks like Main Points, Summaries, Suggested Tasks, Embedded Audio), and upload a new or saved audio recording—then watch Voxio do its magic. The tool supports multiple languages.

Coming soon: Voxio plans to integrate its service with Apple Notes, Evernote, and Obsidian in the future. (Pricing: freemium)

Dream Kid AI writes stories for kids in a hospital setting

Dream Kid AI

How it works: Dream Kid AI is an AI storyteller that writes and illustrates personalized children’s books for kids in the hospital. The tool interweaves medical concepts with metaphors and magical lands to craft stories centered around growth, comfort, and resilience. Users simply create a profile for their child (with details on their medical condition) and pick from 10 different settings. Dream Kid AI also offers AI narration to read the story out loud.

P.S. Dream Kid AI’s stories aren’t limited to medical journeys. They can also support children in any other challenges they might face, like finding friends at a new school. (Pricing: paid—offers a free trial)

NotebookLM is an instant expert on your notes

NotebookLM (originally called Project Tailwind) is an experimental AI assistant from Google Labs that’s trained on your notes.

How it works: NotebookLM is a personalized bot trained on any documents you upload. It can summarize facts, explain complex ideas, answer questions, and brainstorm new connections based on your documents. NotebookLM lets you transform your existing notes into new formats (e.g. emails, script outlines, or newsletters) and recommends actions tailored to your current project (like suggesting related ideas from your sources based on what you’ve just written).

Expanded access: NotebookLM was only available to a select group of testers until recently, but now everyone older than 18 in the US can use it. (Pricing: free)

Osum makes the most of market research

How it works: Osum helps entrepreneurs and marketers streamline the process of collecting and analyzing market data. Just enter any product or business URL and Osum will perform a full SWOT analysis (for those who didn’t major in Econ: SWOT=Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) or generate a business report. It can also identify untapped market opportunities and create detailed buyer personas, including demographics and professional interests of potential clients.

P.S. This tool isn’t just for businesses. It’s also great for individuals looking to make informed investment decisions and identify emerging market trends.(Pricing: paid—offers a free trial)

  • SAP is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead and communicate the launch of new AI products.

  • Adobe is hiring an Experience Designer to explore design ideas for AI and digital imaging products.
