Create a full TV show with AI

Plus: this AI takes typography to another level

Welcome back! This week has been all about Apple. At its WWDC 2024 conference, Apple unveiled its much-anticipated “Apple Intelligence”—a new suite of AI features for the iPhone, Mac, and more. There are a lot of updates to talk about here, but for now? I’ll let you in on a personal favorite: Using Apple Intelligence, you’ll be able to create custom emojis, AKA Genmoji. Soon, you’ll have no excuse to use the thumbs-up emoji as a sufficient text response.

I can’t wait to see the wild emojis you all dream up. What’s first on your list?

MagicTime creates realistic time-lapse videos

How it works: MagicTime is an open-source GitHub project that lets you create realistic time-lapse videos with simple prompts. Just tell it what you want, like “a flower blooming,” and it’ll generate the video for you.

  • Positive vs. negative prompting: You can enter a "positive" prompt to describe what you want to see in the video, like “sunset over a mountain,” and a "negative" prompt to specify what you don’t want, such as “no clouds.”

MagicTime includes model training and inference capabilities, meaning it can learn and improve over time, integrating with other tools like Open-Sora-Plan to enhance your projects. MagicTime also includes an intuitive timeline editor that allows users to fine-tune the generated time-lapse sequences.

Bonus: You can export videos in various formats and resolutions to suit different project needs. (Pricing: Free)

ChainClarity makes crypto easy

How it works: ChainClarity turns technical crypto whitepapers into digestible content. Just upload a whitepaper or drop in a link, and the AI breaks it down into simple summaries. It’s like having a crypto expert translate all that technical jargon into plain English.

  • As you read through the simplified whitepaper, you can hover over technical terms to get instant definitions and context, making it even easier to grasp the content.

Crypto Community: You can join ChainClarity’s community of crypto enthusiasts to be the first to know about product updates, beta tests, and special events. (Pricing: Free)

The idea is that you can describe the show you’d like to watch, and start watching it within minutes.

Features:

  • Interactive Editing: Fine-tune scenes and dialogues to get everything just right.

  • Custom Character Design: Control the appearance of the animated characters.

  • Scene Library: Access pre-built environments that can be customized to fit different storylines. (Pricing: Unknown—pre-launch)
